Costuming Styles

Our own Tink has created this detailed costume website that shows a variety of styles that we perform.

Sister Troupe Tribal Attitude

Beautiful, talented, intelligent - we're so glad they're our sisters (and can't forget - our brother Jal, ruggedly handsome, talented, and intelligent).

If you ever have a chance to see us dance together - it's quite a show!

Pirates and dancers

Scurvvy Dawgs

The Scurvvy Dawgs pirate comedy group and variety act.

Be sure to check out our friends - the Scurvvy Dawgs at a Renaissance Faire near you this summer. They are a wild group of "salty sea-dogs ready to entertain".

Howl-o

We made a music video with Howl-o at the Illinois Renaissance Faire. Here's a link to their song: Wraggle Taggle Gypsies.

Karida and Troupe Zahava

Karida Zahava has been a friend of "Banat" for years. She and her troupe Zahava share our enthusiam for folkloric and fusion dance (and love of Ren Faires!) Zahava holds an annual summer seminar and teaches classes at the Lawrence Education Center in Springfield, Illinois. Karida is also an exquisite costumer and supplier of belly
dance music, props, accessories and such--check out her vending website: The Gilded Lily.

Knights of Valour

Incredible jousting. Handsome knights ... what could be better? Check them out!

Pangaea Dance

Some of our terrific Illinois dance sisters in Champaign-Urbana. Pangaea Dance is a group dedicated to furthering precise instruction, and passionate performance, while educating the public about the highly evolved and striking art form that is bellydance.
